Look, we're gonna be straight with you. We're architects, not tech giants trying to sell your data. When you reach out to us about a project, we need some basic info to do our job properly. That's really all there is to it.
What Information We Actually Collect
When you contact us through our website or phone, we'll typically gather your name, email, phone number, and whatever details you share about your project. If we end up working together, we'll obviously need more - like your site location, budget range, project specs, that sort of thing.
Our website might use cookies to remember your preferences and make things smoother when you visit again. Nothing creepy, just standard stuff that helps the site work better for you.
How We Use Your Info
- Getting back to you about project inquiries and consultations
- Preparing proposals, drawings, and all the architectural documents you'll need
- Keeping you in the loop during the design and construction phases
- Handling billing and administrative stuff (nobody's favorite part, but it's gotta happen)
- Occasionally sending updates about our work or services - but only if you're cool with that
- Meeting legal and regulatory requirements for architectural practice in Canada
Who Sees Your Information
We don't sell or rent your personal info to anyone. Period. However, we might need to share certain details with:
Engineering consultants and contractors - they need project details to do their part of the work. It's all part of getting your building designed and built properly.
Municipal authorities and regulatory bodies - building permits aren't optional, unfortunately. We gotta submit plans and documentation to get your project approved.
Legal and financial professionals - when contracts and insurance are involved, sometimes we need their input.
Everyone we work with is bound by professional confidentiality agreements. We take this seriously because trust matters in our line of work.
Keeping Your Data Safe
We use secure servers and encrypted communications for sensitive project info. Physical files are locked up in our Calgary office, and digital files are backed up regularly with password protection.
No system's perfect, but we do our best to keep everything secure. We've been doing this for years and haven't had issues, but if something ever did happen, we'd let you know right away.
How Long We Keep Your Information
If we end up working together, we're legally required to keep project records for at least 10 years after completion. That's standard practice in the architectural profession across Canada - it's about liability and being able to reference past work if needed.
If you reach out but we don't move forward with a project, we'll typically keep your initial inquiry info for about 2 years in case you decide to come back to us later. After that, it gets deleted unless you've asked us to keep you on our mailing list.
Your Rights & Control
You've got rights when it comes to your personal information, and we respect that. Here's what you can do:
- Ask to see what info we have about you
- Request corrections if something's outdated or wrong
- Ask us to delete your information (with some exceptions for legal requirements)
- Opt out of marketing emails anytime - there's an unsubscribe link in every message
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
Third-Party Links & Services
Our website might link to other sites - maybe product manufacturers, industry associations, or project examples. Once you click away from our site, this privacy policy doesn't apply anymore. Check their policies if you're concerned about how they handle data.
We use standard analytics tools to understand how people use our website - things like which pages get visited most, where folks are coming from, that kind of thing. It helps us improve the site, but it's all anonymous aggregate data.
Changes to This Policy
We might update this policy now and then - usually when laws change or we add new services. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version here.
For major changes that affect how we handle your data, we'll reach out directly if you're an active client or on our contact list.
Questions or Concerns?
If you've got questions about how we handle your information, or if you want to exercise any of your rights, just get in touch. We're real people here, and we're happy to talk through any concerns you might have.

We're based in Calgary, but we work all across Canada's northern regions. Our practice follows Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).
Thanks for taking the time to read this. We know privacy policies can be boring, but your trust matters to us. We're here to design great buildings for harsh climates - your personal info is just a means to that end, not something we're looking to exploit.
